Description
I cenote is a sink hole formed in porous limestone and filled with fresh water from underground aquifers. Usually clear and cool, these sink holes can either be open to the sky or partially enclosed, forming a cave-like structure. Many cenotes were once used for sacred rituals. Today, several cenotes are perfect swimming holes to beat the summer heat. Join us as we venture into the jungle to take a dip in both an open and a closed cenote! You’ll also enjoy a traditional regional lunch. Transportation is included.
